Play3 | Sequential pauses

Sequential pauses are the perfect tool to help you create dynamic visualizations while freezing your video momentarily. Watch the video or follow the steps below to learn how to add them to your presentation.

 

How to add (sequential) pauses to your video clips

Right-click in your timeline and click Add Pause, or press the P button on your keyboard:

 

 

A Pause annotation is now added to your timeline. The default pause duration is 5 seconds, but you can extend or reduce it as preferred. This section of the timeline can be filled with any visuals as you would normally:

 

Select any moment on the timeline within your Pause and add a visual by selecting them from the Visualizations module as usual:

 

Within a Pause, visuals can be added in any sequence imagineable. Move the timeline to another moment within the pause and add another visualization. It may look something like this:

 

Modify the start and end times of your annotations until you are happy with your sequence. Finally, you can snap selected annotations to the end of your Pause by right-clicking and selecting the option Snap Out Time to Current:
